Located in Deroche, British Columbia, Matt’s Motorschool Inc. delivers intermediate and advanced motorcycle training designed to elevate rider knowledge, skill, and control.
Our signature Ride to Train model blends real-world road riding with focused parking lot skill development, creating a seamless progression from application to mastery, and back again.
We train in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where riders of all abilities can grow with confidence. Our programs are built on proven Law Enforcement motorcycle training principles, giving riders the opportunity to train how professionals train and learn what professionals know.
Our instructor cadre brings extensive real-world experience and a high level of technical expertise to every session. Through this, our mission is clear: to develop stronger, more capable riders and contribute to reducing motorcycle-related collisions and injuries on British Columbia’s roadways.
All courses will proceed RAIN or SHINE. Any exceptions will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Matt’s Motorschool Inc. is owned and operated by a retired 21-year veteran of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Throughout his career, Matt served primarily with Traffic Services, specializing as a Police Motor Officer. His experience includes daily operational duties, police training, VIP escort team riding, and competing in international police motorcycle skills competitions. Additionally, he has played a key role as an annual organizer of the Tri-Cities Motorcycle Skills Challenge, an event that allows the public to learn advanced riding techniques from law enforcement professionals. Matt is passionate about rider education and believes that every motorcyclist can enhance their skills through proper training and hands-on experience.

This 3-day course introduces riders to the process of mastering speed control, with a focus on
proper riding form, braking, and evasive techniques. Riders will develop the ability to take full
ownership of every moment on the street, staying prepared for the constantly changing variables
of real-world riding.

sharpen situational awareness and build responsive muscle memory in controlled street-like
conditions. All exercises are conducted at speeds ranging from 0 to 40 kph.

This 3-day course elevates the challenge of Slow-Speed riding and introduces more intense,
real-world Street-Speed techniques. Riders will experience amplified transitions in both turning
and speed to rapidly build muscle memory under pressure.
